Amelia:
This first grader of ours is a thoughtful little soul. For instance, we went on a trip to NYC/Boston without the kids; they stayed with grandma/pa. When we re-united she had a treat for us in the car. She had received it at church the previous Sunday and wanted to save it for us because she knew we would like it. Day after day she is thinking of others and asking how we can help them (some people I've never heard of?) Amelia is first to say "Oh no, can I help you" or "Did you see that little girl, I want to go ask her why she is sad". Yet, she is also having way too much fun being the older sister...everyday when I find her scolding her little brothers I have to say "Amelia, who is the mom around here?...you be the sister and I'll be the mom".:)
This year Mia has been busy with ice skating, tennis, soccer, violin, and piano. She loves reading chapter books, writing in her journal, speaking mandarin chinese with her uncle Mark (since she lucky to learn it in school), and being chased around the house by her daddy who is always giving her hugs and kisses. She loves her family (mom, dad, brothers, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles) more than anything and wishes she could see them more often.
